The Color Selection Process
The color selection process is one of the most important aspects of being an Artist, and in our studio, we have the freedom of choosing the perfect glass for any project.
We study the glass as it moves throughout the day, scrutinizing the way the light plays on the differences within the glass sheet, and how the light reacts to having foliage, open space, and sky behind it.
As the day moves on we study the way reflective light highlights and lingers on certain portions of the sheet, which can effect how the color is perceived by the eye.
Because of the time it takes the eye to adjust to any given color, we leave the sheets up for hours, and even days, at a time to allow us to soak up the richness of the glass, and to adjust our design, or color, as needed to suit each individual project.
